Some Context
Two thousand five hundred years ago in greek modern day Athens, the school of thought about our world was based on the earth being at the center of the universe. It explained why everything fell to earth
Plato thought that matter could be deduced by thought and that the four elements earth water fire and air were not infinite but ever changing
And that the heavens were made from a fifth bonding element, ether, that was unchanging or infinite, Aristotle described this fifth element as spirit
Then five hundred years ago Galilio wrote that the earth went around the sun which led to Newtons almost perfect laws of motion and gravity
Then came Maxwells electromagnetism, everything changed and it was clear that there was no unification theory. Einstein tried by adding the complexity of time, then came Hubble and an expanding universe.
